The 'utilities' directory is where the utilities *package* resides.

Please edit your CLASSPATH to include this directory/package so that your
Java programs can access classes from the utilities package at all times.

(Nothing prevents you from copying this directory tree [in its entirety]
to your own Java package repository and then pointing your CLASSPATH to
that location.)
